Can I just start out by saying how much I love having a newborn? I love the way they smell, look, and the way their little bodies just mold to you. Emme Katherine entered our lives on January 23rd, and she is just the sweetest little girl...she actually reminds me a lot of Noah when he was a newborn. So far, she's been super easy going and mellow...the only thing that makes her mad is bath time. Noah has welcomed her into our home with so much love and affection, it's bordering on a little 'too much', if there was such a thing. Everytime he sees her, he can't stop hugging and kissing her. He get's concerned when she whimpers (he puts his hands on both sides of his face and whispers "oh no! baby"), and he loves to go get diapers for me when it's time to change her. He tries to get her to drink from his sippy cup, and is always trying to share his snacks with her. God has truly blessed our family with this new addition, and while I know that the coming months are going to be a challenging adjustment, I can't wait to see how our family changes! God is good...
Her entry into this world started off rocky, but thankfully she's doing well now! All 6 lbs 13 ozs of her Laura and Dale's baby Elias was born just 9 hours after Emme! With my due date approaching, we realized that our zoo passes are going to expire soon. So we trekked on down to the Wild Animal Park on New Years weekend to let Noah appreciate the animals yet again. Let me tell you...being 9 months pregnant at the zoo in about 85 degree weather (in January!!!)...I don't think I'll be doing the zoo again any time soon. Thankfully, Noah had a wonderful time and that's really all that matters :).

Since he didn't want to sit in the stroller, I decided to take advantage of a perfect opportunity to rest my feet!
The last leg of our trip was spent in Lake Tahoe with Halmuni, Halabuji, Uncle Danny, and Uncle Mark. We had such high hopes of putting Noah on skis and playing in the snow with him, but alas, he didn't even want to walk on the snow! After several attempts of trying to acclimate him, we gave up and played indoors with all the new toys he received for Xmas. He enjoyed looking at the snow, just not being in it! There's always next year...

We got to spend the second part of our vacation up at Grammie and Grandaddy's. Matt's parents were so kind to get up with Noah every morning, so that Matt and I could catch a few extra zzz's in the morning (thank you again!). He loved being around his cousins and watching them play! Going to the park, riding the train, watching the snow globe with the train, and Christmas Eve dinner were just a few of the highlights of our time there...

We've been on vacation for the last 2.5 weeks visiting family, and we're finally home! The rest was much needed because now we are busy preparing for the arrival of our little girl at the end of the month. Nesting has kicked in, and all I want to do is clean, clean, clean! The first part of vacation was spent up at Halmuni and Halabuji's house. Noah loved being outside and going on walks. It's amazing how much more he's talking in just the last few weeks. His vocabulary is multiplying (a mixture of Korean and English still), and I love hearing all the funny things he's learned to say...such as booger. He loves to chant 'booga, booga, booga' when he wants his nose wiped. I'm sure I won't think it's that funny a month from now, but it sure makes us crack up now!
