My dear, sweet baby ~
Today you are one. Where did the time go? It's hard to believe that
this was just a year ago. Because you are 12 months old, here are 12 things I love so much about you.
1. You wrinkle your little nose when you grin at me. You look so mischievious!
2. When I say "poe-poe" (Korean for kisses), you lean your forehead forward for me to kiss.
3. You twist your little fist back and forth to the rhythm of whatever I'm singing. Your two favorite songs are "Twinkle-Twinkle" and "Gom Sae Mahlee" (3 little bears).
4. You throw your arms around me and bury your little face in my neck when you want snuggles. Melts my heart everytime.
5. When you don't want to eat something on your tray, you offer it to me with your sticky little fingers with a smile on your face.
6. When you're eating something you do like, you pretend to offer it to me, then shove it quickly into your mouth before I can.
7. You still enjoy being worn. I put you in my wrap and you're as happy as can be. It's an added bonus if you fall asleep in it.
8. If I try and get you to do something you don't want to do, you start out whining, act like you're going to cry, then break into a sheepish smile when you realize how silly you're being.
9. Your quirky sense of humor. It's right up my alley.
10. You often sing to yourself when you're playing alone.
11. Sometimes, when we make eye contact, you cock your head to one side at a 90 degree angle as if trying to figure me out.
12. You have the softest skin, especially your neck...I could kiss it forever.
I love you so much dear boy, I feel so lucky to be your mother. I prayed for you before you were born, and now I ask God daily to help me raise you. Thank you for making this last year the best yet for me. Happy birthday son.
