emme - dedication

Emme got dedicated this past Sabbath with Elias. I'm so glad that we got to dedicate our children together....I still can't believe they were born on the same day!! Emme did great up on stage, but I think that Noah was the most excited of us all. The whole time we were up there he wouldn't stop waving/calling out to Halmi & Buji, and loved looking at our projection on the big screen while pointing and saying hi to Emme.

emme - 6 months

Emme had her six month check last week. She's 18 lbs (90% percentile) and 27 inches (90% percentile). Our healthy girl! The Dr. says she looks great and we said our sad goodbyes to her. Both kids just love her and we're going to miss her! For those who are curious, Noah was 14lbs 12 ozs and 27.25 inches at his 6 month check.


Laura turned 30 last week and we all got together to celebrate. Unfortunately, as soon as we got there, Noah tripped and fell into the corner of a chair so he was pretty miserable the whole time. Emme was her usual happy self though!

family visit part II and update

After spending time in Sacramento, we headed back to my parents house. We're really fortunate to have kids who will pretty much sleep anywhere. I think all this traveling has been messing with Noah's sleep pattern though. He's started waking up at 5:30 in the morning. Thankfully, he has willing grandparents who are more than happy to play with him that early. He's also started to become really interested in the big boy potty this week. I've been letting him direct whether or not he's ready, and he's decided he is! As of yesterday, he's exclusively been in his 'big boy pants' (that's what he calls them), and has not had any accidents!
Emme is just miss congeniality. If you make eye contact with her, you can pretty much guarantee that she'll flash you a smile. She is becoming more mobile, and will roll or scoot her way around. A big motivation for her to move is her brother's hair. She just loves trying to grab a fistful of his curly locks! Actually, she just loves being around her brother...she'll just gaze at him and smile or laugh at everything he does. She even finds his tantrums amusing!

My brother and his girlfriend came up for the weekend and we spent the day in Mendocino. The weather was perfect and we had such a great time walking around and tidepooling.

After celebrating our anniversary, we spent some time with Matt's family in the Sacramento area. Every time we visit, we always have such a good time, and it felt good knowing that we will soon be in the area so that the visits can happen more frequently!

Rylan introduced Noah to computer games....it was so cute hearing Noah cheer Rylan on one minute, then sympathize with him the next.

Noah is still talking about the train museum that we visited. I couldn't get him to stand still for one picture. He spend the entire time running from one display to the next.

He convinced Grandad for one last round of car racing before we left!

Happy Father's Day/Happy Anniversary

This past Sunday was a double blessing for the Sanders family...not only was it Father's day, it was our 6th anniversary as well. After we had breakfast with my parents, Matt and I were lucky enough to spend a night in the beautiful Napa Valley with only Emme in tow. My parents graciously offered to watch Noah for the night, and before they dared change their minds, we got out of the house quickly! One of my favorite parts of the trip was revisiting Meadowood, which is where we got married. We really had the best time, but we sure missed Noah...everything seemed eerily quiet without him.

Emme has been busy as well....yesterday I noticed that she has her two bottom incisors in already!

Legoland

What a fun trip! We weren't sure how Noah would respond to Legoland because of how Disneyland went, but we all had SO much fun!!! He was running from one place to another, yelling at all the different things to look at, having the time of his life. We spend the first day at Legoland, and then went to Legoland's Sealife aquarium the following day.


He went on this train ride at least 5 times!
