Aquarium of the Pacific

On Sabbath, we headed out to Long Beach to visit the Aquarium of the Pacific. They have all these neat exhibitions where you can pet the baby sharks, sting rays, starfish, and feed tropical birds out of your hand. Noah was mesmerized! He loved looking into the ginormous tanks filled with all sorts of different ocean life. He wouldn't even go down for a nap in his stroller, he was so into looking at everything. Matt and I were commenting on how fun it would be to bring Trenton, Rylan, Isabel and Lala here (hint, hint) =). We left talking about how awesome and creative God is ~ He must've had so much fun creating all the different sea life!

Gracie is always trying to get Noah to play with her. She drops her gross, slobbery toy in front of him in hopes that he'll pick it up and throw it for her. If it's eerily quiet in the living room, chances are that Noah is clutching her toy and waving it around in the air. He'll make mad dashes for them and as you can see in this video, he'll drop whatever he's doing just to get to her toys!

9 month update

Noah had his 9 month wellness check this past week. The good news is that he's perfectly healthy and hitting each milestone on point. The concerning news is that the Dr. is a bit worried about his weight. His weight - 16.6 lbs (he's fallen off the percentile chart), and his height - 29.75 inches (90th percentile). His pediatrician has made a few suggestions to get him to eat solids better, so hopefully he'll plump up here soon.
A bit of interesting news though....my son loves carrots! This is quite amusing to me because I haven't eaten a carrot since, oh - I don't know...2001?!? And that's probably because one rogue shredded carrot got accidently tossed in my salad at a restaurant even though I explicitly said "no carrots." I type this with a smug smile because my mom threatened me during my pregnancy by saying, "my son will not eat carrots and therefore have bad eyes because I was too picky of a eater while I was pregnant with him." Not so, umma, not so... :)

After church this past Sabbath, we headed out to Living Desert in Palm Springs...who knew there were cheetahs, giraffes, and zebras a mere hour from us?!? We're definately going to have to go back once Noah is a bit older. He got bored halfway through and fell asleep!





This child will not stay still! Any chance he gets, he wants to scale the baby fence and hold on for dear life.

Matt had this past week off, and it was so nice having him around during the day. Since the weather was so perfect, we hit up the park a few times so Noah could try the swings out. We had so much fun the first time, we asked Ethan and his parents to join us again later that week. Matt had his swing going so high, I could hardly stand to watch, it made me so nervous...oh well, Noah was clearly loving it!
