birthday wish

Today I felt extraordinarily blessed. While people were singing "happy birthday", I sat there trying to think of a wish. For the first time, I couldn't think of a single one. I had my healthy son on my lap, my loving husband by my side, wonderful friends surrounding me, and family that loves me.....God is good.

Not only did I have a birthday, so did Noah! He turned six months old today. It's amazing how much a baby changes in just six months...He's smiling & laughing, rolling over both ways, sitting upright for brief periods, babbling and reaching for everything in sight. He had a great visit with his pediatrician yesterday, and she said he looked perfect! He now weighs 14lbs 12ozs (10% percentile), and is 27.25 inches tall (75% percetile). A bit on the skinny side, but hopefully that will change once we start solids soon. Happy six months baby boy!

visit from Grammie & Granddad

Noah's Grandparents came down for the weekend, and what a fun time it was! We spent the weekend showering N with hugs and kisses, making baby food and eating lots while catching up. We sure can't wait to see you again...



On another note.....I finally caved in. Yes, there is a ginormous plastic monstrousity sitting in the middle of our living room. I've been avoiding this for about six months now. I swore I wouldn't let one in my home. But after seeing how deleriously happy N was in one, I couldn't resist. He jumps with such delight, I feel now as though I've deprived him having waited this long to buy one...Hands down ~ the best 60 bucks I've spent.

my lucky day

Matt has the whole week off ~ but unfortunately, we can't travel anywhere because he's on-call this school break. It's been so much fun having him home though! As a pre-birthday celebration, the fam went out to Newport Beach and indulged in my favorite treat of all time.....Sprinkles!!! Noah didn't have any of course, but don't worry, I had enough for the both of us and then some. On the way home, we stopped at Mother's Market to pick up some butternut squash and pears...let the adventures of homemade baby food begin!

a fun, busy weekend

What a fun weekend we had! Ethan got dedicated at church this past Sabbath, so we spent Sabbath afternoon eating and spending time at the Wilkinson residence. Noah sat in his highchair for the very first time as well! Doesn't he look like a little boy in the chair? So for the first time since baby N has been born, we all sat at the dining room table eating dinner. Dinner time is usually spent taking turns holding Noah, but this time it was spent taking turns picking up the toys he threw off the tray! He'll be starting solids here soon, so stay tuned for messy, food pictures...

clothes are overrated

One of Noah's favorite times of the day is his naked time. Before he takes a bath, we strip him down and let him shimmy around on the floor. He loves it!

wiggle worm

Gone are the days when I go to get Noah from his nap, and he's lying in the same position I left him in. Gone are the days when I could place him on a blanket with some toys and he's still be there when I got back. He has been quite the wiggle worm lately. The other day, I placed him on his playmat while I went to unload the dishwasher, and when I came back, he was rolling himself halfway underneath the couch! And this is what I saw when he awoke from his morning nap...

labor day weekend

Noah's first labor day weekend was spent with his Halmuni & Halabuji, and his Uncle Danny...what a special treat to have everyone travel over to spend time with him. N was never in need of being held as he was passed to and fro from loved one to loved one. He got bedtime stories from halmuni, watched car racing with his Uncle, and hung out with Halabuji while his mom and grandma tried on clothes! What a fun-filled weekend, Thanks for coming down!
