the view is better up here

Now that Noah has gained a bit more head control and his vision has improved some, he enjoys sitting propped up on the boppy pillow. He likes to lounge there on the couch, surveying the entire room, chatting to himself and us.

He'll be very happy and content there for quite awhile, but here's what happens when you leave him there a bit too long.

family date night

Even though we had just spent loads of money on groceries, we were having one of those moments when you look at your fridge full of food and feel as if there's absolutely nothing to eat. Feeling brave, we decided to take Noah and head on over to California Pizza Kitchen. Although it was 90 something degrees outside, we decided to sit on the patio just in case a meltdown would occur. That way, only about four pairs of eyes would stare at us instead of fifty. To our delight, he slept through the first part of it. Just as we were commenting how easy it was to eat out with Noah, he started yawning and stretching. Right when our food arrived, he realized that we left him in his carseat (how rude of us) and demanded to be held. Luckily, you can eat pizza with one hand.

Thanks cousin Trenton and cousin Rylan for the cool monster truck onesie...he can't wait to get big enough to run around with you boys!

must. buy. baby. sling.

I've come to the conclusion that I can't wait for Noah to be "in the mood" to be put down. If I want to get any housework done, I will have to adapt to him. There's no meeting halfway in the middle with him. No compromise. I'm just going to have to learn to do things with one arm.

Happy Mother's Day

Our family celebrated our first mother's day today! We spent our afternoon at Victoria's Garden, strolling around with Noah and enjoying the beautiful day. Noah spent the entire time lounging about in his stroller (wow). It was as if he knew that his mother needed a little mall therapy. Afterwards, we came home, had dinner and hit the hay around 9. Ahhh...how life changes after a baby.

Thanks Hal-Muh-Ni for my sporty suit...sa-rang-hae-yo!

Future Heartbreaker

He smiled!!! Just when I think that there's nothing else our little son can do to melt our hearts, he goes and smiles! At first I thought he was either going to the bathroom or passing gas, but it happened again and again! I wish I had the picture to prove it....unfortunately, I have a dinosaur of a camera. Once I push the button to take a picture, it has about a three second lag (although it feels like 10 sec) before the pic is actually captured. Really, I tried so many times. Poor Noah was probably wondering what had gotten into his mother, with her hopping up and down, making contorted faces, singing off-tune. Well, you're just going to have to take my word for it and see for yourself! Meanwhile, here's a picture of some sweet toes that are so soft and tasty to kiss! =)

Bon Voyage!

It's amazing how sensitive Noah is to movement. He's as cool as a cucumber when the car is moving fast (I repeat - fast). As soon as there's a wee bit of traffic or we're exiting on the freeway, he lets us know that he's ready to get out of his seat and stretch his legs. This has led to Matt dropping me off in front of the store to go pick up some milk while he drives around the parking lot like someone driving under the influence, trying to hit every speed bump and pothole. With the gas prices, it'd be nice if Noah let us park the car. =)

Thanks Grammie & Granddad Sanders!

When I first found out that I was pregnant, Matt's parents got us this adorable litte star outfit...It's great because it protects both the feet and the hands! Thanks for such a thoughtful gift....now I know I'm a little biased, but doesn't he look cute?
