computer issues

A virus has eaten our computer.... :( We're trying to figure out how to get our pics from the old computer onto the new one. Until then, here's a picture of Noah and his beloved life-sized giraffe that he loves wrestling with. It's the first thing he asks for when he gets up from his naps.

bummer beach day

We took Noah to the beach for the first time last weekend. The little guy did not like it...he didn't know what to do with himself and the sand. Everytime I got near the water with him, he would clutch onto me for dear life. To top off our sad day at the beach, we got rear-ended on the way home. Thank goodness Noah was fine, but Matt injured his back. Please say a prayer for a quick recovery of his back and a speedy resolution with the insurance companies.

apple doesn't fall far

Noah's dietary preferences are fairly strong at this point. He prefers cheese, bread, and pasta. Hmmmm...does that sound like someone else we know?!? Whenever Matt's eating, Noah is usually signing "more", to pretty much everything. Here's a shot of him loving his lasagna!




Another thing Noah enjoys is following me while I'm vacuuming. He hops on his little walker and cruises close behind me as I move from room to room cleaning. Hopefully he loves it when he's big enough to actually hold the vacuum! :)

an eggstra special easter

Not only was today Easter, but it was Ethan's birthday as well! The Wilkinson's had an Easter egg hunt, along with lunch in their backyard. The company was great, the food was delish, and the weather was just right. Thanks for letting us be a part of Ethan's special day!

joshua tree

After church on Sabbath, we went to Joshua Tree with the Wilkinsons for an afternoon of hiking. I got Matt a baby backback for his birthday, so he was eager to try it out! Noah fell asleep halfway through our hike, but he really seemed to enjoy being outdoors.





On our hike, I nearly fainted when I saw the biggest creature I'd ever seen that wasn't caged. This reptile was about 1.5 feet long and was basking on the rocks. I went home and did some research, and apparently, we saw a Western Chuckwalla, which is a protected species of lizard. Dale was brave enough to get close to take a picture.


Today we had a picnic at the park for Ethan and Noah. The weather was so hot, but the boys seemed to enjoy being outdoors. We feasted on hotdogs, fresh fruit and cupcakes. Noah's current obsession is balloons and he was clutching for dear life on that red balloon the entire time.

one year update

Noah had his one year check up this week and the Dr. says he's looking good. He's now 18 lbs even (still off the charts), and 30 inches tall (55% percentile). The Dr. said that he's steadily gaining weight at each visit, which is what really matters. :) The only concern this time were his iron levels...so unfortunately, she ordered for him to get his blood drawn at the lab so it could be evaluated more carefully. She said the worst case scenario is that he would need iron supplements, so that's not too bad. Overall, it was an encouraging visit.

After we got back from the Dr. office, I was looking through some mail when I heard Noah talking and giggling to himself. This is what I found the little rascal doing...Look at the look of mischief on his face!!! I have a feeling I'm going to have my hands full with this one. :)
